Phil Collins-Face Value

His first solo record from 1981. I had this on a cassette I recorded from The Sunday Seven were one radio station would play seven albums in a row on Sunday night. I recorded many albums from that. This vinyl copy I bought a few years ago for a dollar. This has the classic song “In The Air Tonight” starting off side one which also has “Behind The Lines”, a reworking of a Genesis song from “Duke”, and two instrumentals to close out the side. Side two has another single “I Missed Again” , some ballads and closes with a cover of The Beatles “Tomorrow Never Knows” one of their best psychedelic songs. After a few seconds of silence he sings a few lines from “Over The Rainbow” as a tribute to John Lennon . While there are some good songs on this album the cover looks like it got wet at some time and the record is very scratchy and has several skips this is one I won’t be keeping.
