Not sure where I picked this CD up. Looks like another used one from the store in Exeter. Took some digging to find out anything about this band. Looking at the names of the band members, the photo and the fact that the record company was in Denmark licensed to I.R.S. Records in the U.S I figured they were a Danish all girl band. Locating them on Discogs, I found out that the name of the band is actually Miss B Haven and is indeed an all woman band from Denmark who put out 4 full length and many EPs from ’86 to ’97. This name Marta Marta, and the CD is actually Miss B Haven’s 4th release, Suk & Stads re-recorded with English vocals for an international release. The music is Pop with catchy tunes and good vocals. I thought “It’s Real”(“Fri For Hinanden” on the Danish release) was a good one with a Jangle Pop sound. It sounded familiar, maybe I put it on one of my Rock and Roll Tunes cassette tapes. Will put that one on my playlist.
