Steve Earle-Ain’t Ever Satisfied

A 2 CD compilation of songs from Steves first five recordings. The first CD has 8 from his Guitar Town album showing his more Country side. 3 are from his Exit O record and 2 from The Planes, Trains and Automobiles soundtrack. Also a live recording of Springsteen’s “State Tropper”. Disc 2 has 6 songs from his more Country Rock album Copperhead Road including the title track that I knew from hearing it on a jukebox in a bar a few times. A live recording of The Stone’s “Dead Flowers” follows. 3 from A Hard Way his 1990 album and 2 from a live album released the same year. “She’s About A Mover” by Doug Sahm and “West Nashville Boogie” that sounds a bit like Z Z Top are from that album. Although Country is not my favorite these are better than the Country Pop or whatever they call it that is popular now.
