Married couple Jon Spencer and Christina Martinez had been in the 80’s band Pussy Galore. Another member Neil Haggerty formed Royal Trux. Drummer Bob Bert was an early member of Sonic Youth. Spencer also records with the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. Boss Hog have put out several LPs and EPs. Whiteout, from 2000 was their last until one from 2017. The ten tracks are short and loud. Spencer’s guitar and Martinez’s vocals dominate. Simple instrumentation but a little more polished than their second self titled album that I used to have.
