A 2015 reissue of this 1997 release, a two record set. Another one I have on CD, this is considered one of their best records. A great collection of different genres of music. Some of the best songs here are “Moby Octopod”, “Sugarcube”, “Autumn Sweater”, “Stockholm Syndrome”, and “Green Arrow”. The cover The Beach Boys “Little Honda” sounding like The Ramones. “Spec Bebop” is a 10 and a half minute instrumental that sounds like Krautrock, Drone, and Electronic making me think of Spaceman 3. The two record sleeves have tongue-in-cheek advertisements for other albums on the Matador label. They almost seem real as other real bands are mentioned in some of the ads In 2009 Yo La Tengo released a record called Fuckbook, another album of covers, under the name The Condo Fucks one of the imaginary bands advertised.
