From 1986 this proved to be his best selling album winning three Grammy Awards with “Higher Love” reaching #1 in the U.S. One I bought new then shortly after moving to Claymont De. from Salisbury Md. Unlike Arc Of A Diver Winwood uses many session musicians on this record. Looking at the liner notes I see Tom “Bones” Malone and Randy Brecker on horns, Nile Rogers playing guitar on a couple tracks and Joe Walsh playing guitar on “Freedom Overspill” and “Split Decision” which he co-wrote with Winwood. Another good record with those songs plus the title track and “The Finer Things” also really good. Bought his next record Roll With It but didn’t like it much and sold it. He last put a record out in 2008.
