The Who-Face Dances

This is their 9th album released in 1981. I had their last record Who Are You but besides the title track I didn’t like any of the other songs much so I sold it. This is the first record after Keith Moon’s death in 1978 of an overdose of a sedative he was taking to help with his alcohol withdrawal. The band carried on with Small Faces/Faces drummer Kenny Jones. This is a used record and a cutout I bought sometime in the late 80’s when I was living back in Delaware. I always liked this record, not a bad song on it. “You Better You Bet” is another one of The Who’s best known songs and the 4th video to be played on MTV. “Cache Cache” and “Did You Steal My Money” are a little different than the usual Who song but are good songs. “The Quiet One” and “You” both written by Entwistle are the most rocking songs on the record. “How Can You Do It Alone” is another odd but good song and the final track “Another Tricky Day” is one of my favorite Who songs. The record has a couple of skips but does not sound too bad.
