Uriah Heep-Salisbury

This is their second album released in January of 1971. This is one I had never heard until I bought it sometime in the mid 80’s when I was living back in Delaware. Again with a different cover than the European release which features a tank on the cover. Their most progressive record with songs like “The Park” and the 16 minute Title Track. “Salisbury” is an ambitious piece with a 25 piece orchestra several vocal sections, a long guitar solo by Mick Box, and a spacey section with Ken Hensley playing organ. Although I don’t usually like an orchestra mixed with rock it is used sparingly on this track. “Lady In Black” is an acoustic song sounding like an old English Folk Ballad and is sung by Ken Hensley. This looks like an original pressing and the cover is in good shape.
