U2-The Joshua Tree

This is one I bought new in 1987. It’s a promo copy that I bought at the store in Penny Hill which was about half a mile from my parents house. I was a bit disappointed when I listened to it. A bit too mellow and Pop sounding. Although it had three big singles “Where The Streets Have No Name”, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” and “With Or Without You”, the first three songs on side one, they were never my favorite U2 songs. My favorites on this record are “Bullet The Blue Sky”, a live version was on their next record Rattle & Hum, one I sold, “Trip Through Your Wires”, “Exit” and “In God’s Country” one of my favorite U2 songs. This record won a Grammy for best album in ’88 and is their best selling record and high on some peoples best ever records list. To me this is my least favorite of their records.
