U2-The Unforgettable Fire

Their fourth album from 1984 and a bit of a change of direction. Produced by Eno and Daniel Lanois they put a more atmospheric and ambient sound to the record. Another one bought new when I was living in Hull, a peninsula in the South Shore of Boston Harbour. Another really good album. “Pride(In The Name Of Love)” and “Wire” on side one are the most rocking songs on the record. Also on side one is “The Unforgettable Fire” the video of which I remember watching on MTV and one I always liked. Side two starts with a short Ambient instrumental “4th Of July” showing Eno’s influence and is followed by “Bad” another great song and performed at Live Aid in 1985. “Elvis Presley And America” a more mellow track is another one I like. Cover and record are in good shape.
