Triumvirate-Illusions On A Double Dimple

Original

This band has been called the German Emerson, Lake & Palmer. A three piece band with keyboards, guitar and drums this is their second album from 1973. Cool cover, I had a white mouse as a pet when I was 10. The record has two suites “Illusions On A Double Dimple: on side one and “Mr. Ten Percent” on side two. Each of the two sides are divided into six tracks although they all run together. About half the tracks have vocals with female background singers. Much of the keyboard playing sounds like E.L.P. while some of the vocals and bass lines remind me of Yes. Maybe a little more Pop sounding overall. An edited version of “Dimplicity” from side one was released as a single which I heard on the radio. “Luck Girl”, an acoustic ballad . on side two owes a lot to E.L.P’s “Lucky Man” especially the synthesizer solo at the end. A really good Progressive style record although the record itself is not in very good shape.
