Traffic-The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys

Original

This came out in late 1971 I probably bought this one sometime in 1972. A great record even better than their last John Barleycorn. The same line up that played on Welcome To The Canteen except for Dave Mason. This has the die cut corners which were not cut on later reissues. The title track is a 70’s Psychedelic classic certainly one of their most loved songs. Two great rockers “Light Up Or Leave Me Alone”, and “Rock & Roll Stew” were sung by Jim Capaldi. Of their more Folk style songs “Hidden Treasure”, “Many A Mile To Freedom”, and “Rainmaker” are represented although “Rainmaker has a nice long Jazzy fadeout. Easily their best selling record it reached platinum status in 1996. Why did it take so long?
