This was recorded at the LOCKN’ festival on August 24th 2019. Another three record with tri-fold cover on purple vinyl. Besides their usual 11 piece band they ate joined by Trey Anastasio and Doyle Bramhall II, a friend of the band and sometime collaborator. They play the whole Layla album which Derek Trucks in the liner notes says was heard many times in his youth also pointing out that the album was released on the birthday of his wife Susan Tedeschi. Although I never owned the Layla album three of the tracks “Tell The Truth”, “Have You Ever Loved A Woman” and “Why Does Love Got to Be So Sad” are on the Derek and the Dominoes live album one of my favorite albums. The playing is excellent with lots of great solos by Trey and Derek with Susan sharing vocals with Trey and Doyle. Side six has a rehearsal of “I Am Yours” and a studio track “Thorn Tree In The Garden”, an acoustic number. The rest of the side has an etching.
