Talk Talk-The Colour Of Spring

I bought this record in 1986 when I was living in Salisbury Md. working at the small shipyard owned by American Cruise Lines. As I said yesterday I had seen the video of “It’s My Life” but had not heard “Dum Dum Girls until years later. This sounds like a completely different band that recorded their first two records, but it is the same original trio of Mark Hollis, Paul Webb and Lee Harris and Tim Friese-Green still not an official member although he is the co-writer of all the songs with Mark Hollis, plays piano and produced the album. Gone are the synthesizers and the Pop stylings to be replaced by a more Jazz, Progressive and even Art Rock sound. I always liked “Happiness Is Easy” that features a school choir a d “I Don’t Believe You”, “Life’s What You Make It”, and “Give It Up”. Additional personnel include Steve Winwood, Robbie McIntosh, and Morris Pert among many others. I always liked this record and played it often.
