Stephen Stills-Live

Original

This 1975 release is one I bought back then. Recorded in March of 1974 in Chicago. One side acoustic and the other electric. The acoustic side is just Stills playing a guitar. He plays two songs from his second record, a cover of “Everybody’s Talkin’ At Me”, “4+20” from Deja Vu and a medley of “Crossroads and Chuck Berry’s “You Can’t Catch Me” playing in an acoustic Blues style. The electric side features a full band including “Joe Lala From Manassas and Kenny Passarelli from Joe Walsh’s band. “Wooden Ships” is first but for legal reasons not credited to Paul Kantner the third co-writer of the song. “Four Days Gone” and “Special Care” are Buffalo Springfield songs. “Jet Set (Sigh)” is from the first Manassas album and incorporates parts of “Rocky Mountain Way” I didn’t play this a lot back then mostly the electric side but I think I favor the acoustic side now. The record still plays pretty good.
