Sleater-Kinney came out of the Riot Grrrl scene that originated in Olympia Washington, with Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker, both in bands of that genre before getting together to for Sleater-Kinney in 1994. This is their second full length after a debut EP . The music is Punk and Indie as was the whole Riot Grrrl sound. With two guitarists and drums,no bass, Brownstein and Tucker both sing. The music is good ,the lyrics are decidedly feminist;. This is the first recording of theirs I bought on CD and eventually bought every album they put out on CD. In 2014 the albums were remastered and reissued on vinyl and I started buying them.
