Queens Of The Stone Age-R

This is their second album that I bought a couple of years ago. It’s a 2019 reissue of the 2000 release. I played side one once after buying it. I liked “The Feel Good Hit Of The Summer” whose only lyrics is a list of drugs repeated a few times. Rob Halford is credited with background vocals but I can’t her his voice in the song. “Better Living Through Chemistry” is about perscription drugs.”Monsters In The Parasol” isabout a LSD trip. After listening to side two I think I like it even more. “In The Fade” ,with Mark Lanagan on vocals, and “Tension Head” are good. “Lighnting Song” is an acoustic instrumental followed by “I Think I Lost My Headache” that has an extended jam at the end that sounds like New Orleans Jazz with wailing sax and three horn players. The final track “Ode To Clarissa” is a B-Side not on the original release. Another good album. They have a new one out but I think I will look for more of their older releases.
