Pixies are a Boston based band.This best of compilation was first releasec on CD in 2004 and vinyl in 2011. It’s a two record set with a gatefold cover.The songs are from their five albums from ’87 to ’91 which I had all of them on cassette. Their erratic Punk music has lots of starts and stops and loud to soft dynamics. Most of the best songs have been played on the radio “Bone Machine”,”Vamos,”Monkey Gone To Heaven”,”U. Mass”,and “Gigantic”. Most of the others are OK but I’m not crazy about them. I never listened to the cassettes much either. The band broke up in ’91 with bassis Kim Deal forming The Breeders and Black Francis forming The Catholics. Reunited in 2004 for some reunion tours through 2012.
