The Perfect Disaster-Up

This is a 1989 release and one I have on CD. I bought this record used for $2.99. It’s a promo copy that comes with a 7″ single but that is missing. It does have the promo insert from Fire Records with favorable reviews frm three magazines. The record is in very good shape since promos are usually played only once . The last album with Josephene Wiggs before she joined The Breeders. There are seven songs on this record. Each side ends with a long track. “55” is a great Velvet Underground like song. “Down” a 11 minute song in three parts ends with a nice long bit of Chamber Music with Wiggs playinbg the cello and singing some wordless vocals. Beautiful. This song is on one of my Rock and Roll Tunes mix tapes. Side two ends with a nearly 13 minute jam with few vocals reminiscent of The Velvet Underground’s “Sister Ray”. They put out one more record before breaking up.If I ever see a used copy I will buy it.
