A great compilation album never released in the U.S. An Import I bought when I was living in Claymont in 1986. It covers material from 1973-1984. Each of the four sides sticks to a theme. Side one has 9 instrumentals all under four minutes and includes a couple traditional songs “In Dulci Jublio” and “Portsmouth” and “Etude” the theme from The Killing Fields. Side two has eight great songs with vocals, most by Maggie Reilly. This has the original “Family Man” covered by Hall & Oates. All the songs are great with the last two “To France” and “Shadow On The Wall” ,with Roger Chapman’s gravelly voice, being the best. Both are on my playlist. Side three has excerpts friom his first four albums Tubular Bells,Hergest Ridge,Ommnadawn, and Incantations and an excerpt from his soundtrack to the movie The Killing Fields.Side four has four unreleased live tracks recorded in Germany in the early 80’s.The highlight of this side is a 14 minute version of “Platinum” from his album of the same name. A lenghty record at nearly two hours in covers his best period in my opinion.
