Aldo Nova is from Montreal.This is his second album.His first yeilded the hit “Fantasy” but this wasn’t as successful. This came out in 1983 and I bought it when I was living in Hull. He plays everything but bass and drums. There is some kind of theme running through the album,something to do about Armageddon.Although dated, it does have four hard rocking songs I really like “Hey Operater”,”Monkey On Your Back”,”Hold Back The Night”,and “Cry Baby Cry”. Unfortunately there are a few power ballads I don’t like, two on side two. With a couple short instrumentals with some decent guitar side one is very good. He put out three or four more records over the years and wrote songs for Blue Oyster Cult,Bon Jovi and Celon Dion many of them in French.
