The first outing from Trent Reznor released in 1989. This is one I had on cassette, bought during my Industrial period. I had CDs and cassettes of bands like Ministry,Throbbing Gristle,Skinny Puppy,KMFDM,Front 242 and others. I believe I had his first three releases. This vinyl copy was a 50% off purchase at Barnes & Noble about five years ago. Like most Industrial music the album is harsh,bleak and over synthesized. The lyrics seem to deal with anger over failed relastionships. Although I like different music the Industrial genre is not somethin I would want to listen to very often. I feel the same way about this record. I don’t like it very much.
