Kenny Loggins With Jim Messina-Sittin’ In

Another old favorite from 1971. This is another record that my friends brother had. We listened to this all the time when I was in high school. This music brings back fond memories of that time. A Kenny Loggins solo album, Jim Messina was on hand to lend guitar and vocals. The duo formed a partnership that yeilded a big hit”Your Momma Don’t Dance” from their next record although there were no top 40 hits from this record. “Danny’s Song” did get some airplay, a ballad written by Loggins about the birth of his brother Danny’s child. Dan wrote the next song on the record “Vahevela” one of my favorites on the record. “Trilogy” ,three songs that run together, is another good one. “House At Pooh Corners” is a whimsical song about A.A. Milne’s book. “Same Old Wine” is another one I really liked. It’s a long song at over eight minutes with a nice long instrumental break with guitar and Loggins playing harmonica. There’s not a bad song on this record. This is a used record I bought recently for four dollars. The cover and record are in good shape.
