Led Zeppelin-In Through The Out Door

Their final album released in the summer of 1979. This is my least favorite Zeppelin album and one I bought about five years ago. A co-worker brought some albums in to work to sell for a dollar apiece. I bought this and one other one. Both records were not in very good shape. Pretty scratchy sounding with a couple of skips. “In The Evening” and “Fool In The Rain” are the only songs I like. “Southbound Suarez” is OK,I never liked “Hot Dog”.”Carouselambra” is a keyboard heavy song at about 10 and a half minutes long. The more guitar oriented middle section is not bad. “All Of My Love” written by John Paul Jones and Robert Plant is about as close to a ballad they ever got, although not a bad song .just not what I thing of being a Led Zeppelin song. The Bluesy “I’m Gonna Crawl” is another one I never liked. I bought two tickets for their show at The Spectrum in 1977. The show was canceled after Robert Plants son died while they were on tour. They came around again in 1980 and I bought two more tickets. Drummer John Bonham died after a day of heavy drinking a month before the U.S. tour was to begin. The band decided they could not go on without him so they broke up. The album Coda was released in 1982 featuring some unused studio recordings and some live material.
