Led Zeppelin-Presence

original

Presence is the forgotten Led Zeppelin album and their least selling record. I only remember to tracks being played on the radio,”Nobody’s Fault But Mine” another re-working of an old Blues song and “Achilles Last Stand” one of my favorite Zeppelin songs. Pretty much straightforward Rock, there are no acoustic guitars or keyboards on this album. “Royal Orleans” is a short little Rocker while “Candy Store Rock” is a 50’s Elvis sounding song. “Tea For One” is a re-working of “Since I’ve Been Loving You” from Led Zeppelin III. Again one I bought in 1976 as soon as it came out. I always thought the cover, designed by Hipgnosis, and the photos on the inside of people with “the object” were a little strange. Page and Plant have said it was meant to represent the bands force and presence.
