A tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd recorded live at The Fox Theater in Atlanta on Nov. 12 1014. The performers are from Country,Trace Atkins,Charlie Daniels,Alabama, and Randy Houser and Rock,Cheap Trick,Peter Frampton,Gov’t Mule, and Moe. This is a three record set I bought in 2014. They are backed by a house band whose only member I recognize is Don Was on bass. Some of the best performances are Randy Houser doing “Whiskey Rock-A-Roller”Blackberry Smoke with “Working For MCA”,”That Smell” performed by Warren Haynes and Gov’t Mule, and “The Ballad Of Curtis Loew sung by John Hiatt and backed by Moe. An emotional “Four Wall Of Raiford” is sung by Jamey Johnson and got a big reaction from the crowd. Lynyrd Skynyrd comes on at the end to play “Travelin Man”,”Freebird”,and “Sweet Home Alabama”. Gary Rossington is the only original member at this time but Johnnie Van Zant has been with them since his brother Ronnie died. One of the better tribute albums.
