Various Artists-White Boy Blues

This is a collection of early 60’s Blues featuring the guitars of Eric Clapton,Jimmy Page, and Jeff Beck. There are twenty songs on this two record set, most less than three minutes long. There are six instrumentals with Clapton and Page trading solos. You can hear some Led Zeppelin in some of Jimmy’s licks. These short instrumentals written by Page unfortunately sound pretty rough. There are two by John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers featuring Clapton and John McVie that have better sound quality with vocals by Mayall. One song “I’m Your Witchdoctor” I had heard before. Six songs by The All Stars featuring Jeff Beck,Jimmy Page,Nicky Hopkins,Mick Jagger on harmonica,Bill Wyman on bass and Charlie Watts on drums.Perhaps the most interesting tracks are three instrumentals by Santa Barbara Machine Head featuring Ronnie Wood playing some mean guitar and John Lord on organ. The record closes with two by Jeremy Spencer. I bought this a few years ago,the cover and records are in like new condition although they are slightly warped but play fine.
