This is a 1977 double album release that I obtained by theft in late 1978. That’s all I’m going to say about it but it’s quite a story. It’s a compilation album with at least one song from every Jefferson Airplane album and also songs from solo work and side projects. There is also a nice 12 page booklet with photos and a history of the band. I had the picture of Grace Slick hanging in my bedroom for a while until I got married. The songs are in chronological order with only two “White Rabbit” and “Volunteers” repeated from The Worst Of album. Included are some good songs like “Won’t You Try/Saturday Afternoon”,”If You Feel” and “Wooden Ships”. It also has the two best songs from Bark “Feel So Good” and “Pretty As You Feel” but in the edited single version. The second album has Jefferson Airplane related tracks,”Silver Spoon” from Sunfighter, a Grace Slick song from her solo Manhole,Two Hot Tuna songs, and the great “Genesis” from Jorma Kaukonen’s solo album Quah. The record ends with two Jefferson Starship songs “Ride The Tiger” from Dragonfly and a live unreleased track “Please Come Back”. Again like most of my Jefferson Airplane records the cover and record are not in the best shape.
