This 1986 album is one I bought when it came out. I liked some of their earlier songs like “Love Action” and “Don’t You Want Me” from the album Dare that I used to have. This one was produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who had been in the band The Time and later produced records for Janet Jackson as well as writing a number of hit songs. Most of the songs are in a Dance style and sound like Jackson or Prince. I hadn’t listen to this one in a long while.With lots of drum machines and synthesizers most of the songs are up tempo and rather repetitive. There are only three songs I like(the three slower less hip hop like songs) “Human”,written by Jimmy Jam and Lewis that became a number 1 chart topper,”Are You Ever Coming Back”,written by the band,and “Love Is All That Matters”,a soulful R&B song. Apparently the band was unhappy with the production and left the studio leaving the producers to finish the record. One for the reject pile.
