They changed their name for this record for legal reasons. This came out in 1978 and is the other used record I bought last weekend. It’s a 1982 re-issue. After some members left earlier that year only Brock,Calvert,and drummer Simon King were left. They added Harvey Bainbridge on bass who stayed with the band until 1991. They also brought in Steve Swindells to play keyboards on this record and Simon House added violin to three tracks. This record sounds nothing like Hawkwinds other records,this has a new wave sound to it. I would have never known it was Hawkwind if I heard it on the radio. The first song Psi Power I had heard before. The song Free Fall I had on a six song CD that I don’t remember the name of in a compleatly different and better version. One song “25 Years On” has Calvert sounding like Brian Ferry. Calvert would make one more record with Hawkwind before leaving in 1979. I always liked Brock’s vocals better than Calvert’s. Calvert died in 1988 of a heart attack.
