Green River-Live At The Tropicana

This is a recording from the first year of the bands existence,from Olympia,Washington in 1984. Green river were an early Grunge band whose members went on to other bands.Mark Arm and Steve Turner formed Mudhoney and Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard formed Mother Love Bone then Pearl Jam after the death of Mother Love Bone’s singer Andrew Wood. The sound is kind of muddled and rough with Mark Arm doing a lot af screaming as he does with Mudhoney. They play seven songs,including an Ace Frehley cover “Strange Ways”,on a bill with three other local Seattle bands. It’s a limited edition of 2000 copies that came out on Record Store Day in 2019 and comes with a replica of the concert poster.
