This is one of the New Progressive groups that started appearing in the 90’s after the great Progressive bands of the 70’s went out of favor in the 80’s. Bands like Spocks Beard, Dream Theater,Transatlantic, and Magellan,to name a few started making Progressive music, many adding a touch of Metal to their music.Many of the musicians from these bands play in various side projects and other bands. Flying Colors is one such band with members of Spocks Beard and Dream Theater involved. This is their second album fro 2014 and is a two record set and one I bought because of the cover by Hugh Syme who did the covers for most Rush albums.Another record that I only listened to side 1 once. “Mask Machine” is one I liked on side 1 and “A Place In Your World” on side two is my favorite on first listen. It has some nice harmonies and a catchy chorus. “One Love Forever” has a Celtic feel to it.
