This record came out in 1988 and features live shows from 1981 and 1982. The recordings are pretty rough and some of the music is too. Side one are the original Flesh Eaters,a supergroup of L.A. punk musicians including Dave Alvin of The Blasters,John Doe and D.J. Bonebrake of X and Steve Berlin of Los Lobos. The best song on that side is “Divine Horseman” a song from leader Chris D.’s other band The Divine Horsemen.At almost nine minutes there’s some jamming with Berlin plying some sax. As always Chris D.s “singing” is a little hard to take. Side two is a compleatly different band recorded a year later. Called speed metal on the record the songs are faster but sound just as muddled. It sounds like there are only about twenty people in the attendance at the show. I bought this record about 10 years ago for $3. I know this because the owner of the record store I bought tis at writes the price in small numbers on the inside of the cover,I guess so no one can pull a fast one on him and change the price somehow. The cover and record are in good shape.
