Fleetwood Mac-Cerulean

A live album recorded at Boston’s Tea Party club in 1969. This is a U.K. import released in 1985,I bought it in 1987. I don’t think this is an official release probably some kind of bootleg. The sound quality is ok,not great, but the music is great from blues by Elmore James to Rock and Roll parodies of “Tutti Frutti”Great Balls Of Fire”,led by Jeremy Spencer but its the longer jams that make this record worthwhile. They stretch it out on a 24 minute “Rattlesnake Shake” with all three guitarists taking turns at a solo backed by Fleetwood and McVie’s unrelenting rhythm. As good of a guitar jam as anything by The Grateful Dead or The Allman Brothers.”Jenny Jenny has some nice guitar work by Green but the highlight of the record is a nearly 16 minute run through of “The Green Manalishi”. The last song he wrote with the band before leaving, it was later covered by Judas Priest. The song features a blistering solo by Green and a solo by Mick Fleetwood. A great recording from their blues period.
