Eagles-Hotel California

This came out in late 1976 and is one of the biggest selling records of all time. Joe Walsh had joined the band giving them a more rocking sound leaving the Country Rock of their previous records behind. I had a cassette of it that I taped off the radio. Me and my friends played the hell out of it. Sometimes a band puts out a record where everything clicks, every song is great and this is that record by The Eagles. The cassette is long gone but about ten years ago I bought an original pressing of the record in like new condition. I don’t think it had ever been played. I paid $20 for it and it was well worth it. It still has the poster that came with the record. The first three songs on the record “Hotel California”,”New Kid In Town”,and “Life In The Fast Lane” were played constantly back then to the point were I got sick of hearing “New Kid In Town” which won a Grammy. I like side two better with the orchestration of “Wasted Time(Reprise)” leading into the opening guitar notes of “Victim Of Love”,another song that got a lot of airplay but one I never got tired of hearing. Joe Walsh’s song “Pretty Maids All In A Row” is another good song. “Try And Love Again” and “The Last Resort” close out the record. I love the high vocals at the end of both of those songs.
