The bands second album from 1984. This is a fairly recent purchase(I paid six or eight dollars for it about three years ago). It’s a good record but not great, something about Steve Wynn’s songs that just fall a little short of what I like. The best of this record is Karl Precoda’s Neil Young like guitar playing. “Burn”,”Armed With An Empty Gun”,and “Bullet With My Name On It”,written by Precoda are the best songs on side one. Side two with three longer songs is better. “John Coltrane Stereo Blues”,a group effort, is the best song on the record with plenty of Precoda’s guitar. “The Medicine Show” and “Merrittville” also have some good jams. As on their first record Tommy Zvonchek helps out on keyboards. He later joined Blue Oyster Cult.
