The Mekons-Rock’n’Roll

This one is from 1989 and probably bought around the same time as The Original Sin. Unlike the Alt-Country of that CD this is more their usual Punk and Rock style. This is another one I have played before and has a few good songs. “Memphis, Egypt” is one I have heard played on the radio. “Learning To Live On Your Own” sung by Sally Timms sounded very familiar to me, probably another one on one of my Rock and Roll Tunes cassettes. Will put it on my playlist. “Cocaine Lil” is comical until Lil dies at the end of the song. “Amnesia” was on one of the cassettes I had of theirs, some kind of an EP. “Empire Of The Senseless”, a political song, is another one I liked as is “Blow Your Tuneless Trumpet”.
