Another nice box set. This is from Chicago’s Wax Trax Records celebratingb13 years of existence. Specializing in Industrial music this 1994 release comes in a sturdy box with 3 CDs in solid black CD cases. Also comes with a booklet with the history of the label and bios of the bands on the label. I had a pretty good collection of Industrial music on cassette and CD many on the Wax Trax label, I still have a few CDs left. I put on side 2 which has tracks by Ministry and KMFDM. This CD has two tracks from Chris Connelley of Ministry and two good tracks from German band KMFDM “Virus” and “Godlike” There are two from Coil featuring former members of Psychic TV a band I have a few CDs of. But the real reason for picking disc 2 to listen to is because it contains “Every Day( Is Halloween)” by Ministry. Always happy to hear that song with its great beat it is probably my favorite song of the Industrial genre. Leader Al Jorgenson is also represented on this box set by songs from his many side projects including Revolting Cocks, Acid Horse, Pailhead and PTP. “Nothing Stays” by Cyberaktif a band formed by members of Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly was another track I liked best. Doubting Thomas who offers “Father Don’t Cry” is another side project of members of Canadas Skinny Puppy. Could not find this release on Discogs but Amazon has used copies ranging from $60 to $124 .The label went bankrupt in ’92 and was bought by TVT Records of N.Y.C.
