A tribute to Madonna on Cleopatra Records. That company caters to Gothic and Industrial bands and many artists on this CD fit that description. Although Madonna is a bit of a nut job she has some great songs. Her 4 record set Celebration is one with many great songs on it and one I will play often. These tracks are mostly danceable and pretty close to the originals. Some like KMFDM’s take on “Like A Virgin” are pretty harsh. Berlin doing “Live To Tell” and Loleatta Hollloway’s “Lika A Prayer” were some of my favorites. “Bad Girl”, one of her songs I didn’t know, done by James Hardway and Amanda Ghost was another one I liked. Cleopatra Records has put out a lot of tribute CDs by mostly Gothic and Industrial artists. I think I have about ten of them including a volume 2 of the Madonna tribute.
