The third album from this British band. This is from 1996. I had their first two on cassette. Those two had a Shoegaze sound with the harmony vocals of Miki Berenyi and Emma Anderson. Lovelife has a more Britpop and Dream Pop sound which I don’t like as much. “Ladykillers” is a catchy song and was played on WXPN. The other songs sound similar. “Olympia” is the only one that sounds like their earlier Shoegaze style. The band broke up in late ’96 after drummer Chris Acland hung himself. Emma Anderson later was in Sing-Sing with Lisa O’Neil and put out two releases the first of which I have on CD.
