Charlie is an American Jazz guitarist. This CD is a compilation of tracks from his 7 releases for Blue Note recorded between 1996 a 2001. He plays an 8 string guitar allowing him to play both melody and bass lines. Sax seems to be the dominate instrument on most of these tracks played by four different artists. The ones I liked best were “Mean Streak” and “The Spin Seekers” from his Duo album with just Guitar and percussion. “Enter The Dragon” is a combo of guitar drums and vibraphone. These 12 tracks totaled 74 minutes. I have two of his later recordings on the Ropeadope label.
