A band formed in Dayton Ohio in the early 80’s. They have gone through many personnel changes with Robert Pollard the only continuing member. They prefer short and fast songs in the Indie, Rock, Garage and Pop in a Lo-fi style. Most songs are full of hooks. They have broken up and reformed many times putting out close to 40 albums. This is number 10 from 1997. Long time contributors Doug Gillard, Tobin Sprout and brother Jim Pollard play on many of these tracks. 21 songs at 46 minutes, most are under two minutes or just over. “I Am A Tree” at over four and a half minutes is an epic for them. I have played this CD a few times and like “Bulldog Skin”, “Can’t Hear The Revolution”, “I Am A Tree” and “Jane Of The Waking Universe”.
