Not sure where I picked this up but it appears to be an unauthorized compilation of tracks from the 70’s and 80’s by Peter Green, the leader of Fleetwood Mac’s early blues period. This CD is a French import from 2000 and although it says it was recorded in 1977 that is not true. According to the liner notes he is backed by Peter Bardens, from Camel, on keyboards and Reg Isadore from Robin Trowers band on drums. 14 tracks, all written by Green, about half are instrumental. The songs sound rather pedestrian not like his amazing guitar work for Fleetwood Mac. “Last Train To San Antone” was one that stood out. The 8 minute “Funky Jam” is just that and contains some of the best licks on the CD. Green had problems with mental illness during most of his career. He died in 2020.
