This is the third release from this band formed by Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth and Julia Cafritz of Pussy Galore. Yoshimi, a woman from Japan, plays the drums. Released in 2008 a year before Sonic Youth’s last record. Generally this sounds like Sonic Youth with some experimental and Noise Rock in the tracks “Erected Girl”, “Free Kitten On The Mountain” and “Monster Eye”. “Roughshod” is a great Punk Rocker at under a minute and a half. J. Mascis adds some guitar on “Surfs Up” Another good CD.
