The second release from this duo from Hull, U.K. Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt formed the band in 1982. The name is taken from a slogan of a shop in Hull. I actually had six CDs from this band but one appears to have been sold. This CD is from 1985. I remember playing this one day in the kitchen of the house on Franklin St. while playing a game with my wife. That would have been in the 90’s. “Shoot Me Down” is a soulful tune with some horns added. “Trouble And Strife” is the most Rock styled song sounding a bit like The Smiths. “Sean” is about the trouble in Ireland with a tin whistle added to the sound. “Kid” is The Pretenders song sounding not too different as Tracey’s voice can sound like Chrissie Hynde’s.
