An instrumental trio from Australia. Composed of guitar, violin and drums they are not a Jazz combo but play in a Post Rock style. Not much soloing and the violin seems to be the predominate instrument. Violinist Warren Ellis has played with Nick Cave in several of his projects. Some of the compositions are a little bit too slow for me but more up-tempo ones like “Authentic Celestial Music” and the 16 minute “Deep Waters” which starts out slow but gets faster were good. This is album number four from 1998. I also have their next CD plus an EP released in ’98.
