A really great CD that came out in 1993. Although I had heard of the band I had never heard their music. This is a collection of demos, home recordings and rehearsals recorded in the late 70’s before the release of their first album Stands For Decibels. Comprised of Chris Stamey and Peter Holsapple with Will Rigby and Chris Holder these are great songs in the Jangle Pop, Power Pop, 60’s Pop and Psychedelica style. 26 songs at nearly 70 minutes there is not a bad song on here. Songs like “Little Hands”, “Bad Reputation” and “If And When” would go on my playlist if I had a way rto convert CD files to MP3’s. The play a little Country on one track and take a stab at Punk (as a joke I believe) on “Hardcore Judy”. There is one cover on here, “Let’s Live For Today” a hit for The Grass Roots. I will be on the lookout for some vinyl by these guys.
