A compilation CD from this band from Toronto. Formed by members of the Timmins family, Michael, Peter, and Margo in 1985. These songs are from their first five albums showcase their style of Blues, Folk and Country. The first “Shining Moon” is a great cover of Lightnin’ Hopkins the great Texas bluesman. Also on here are Neil Young’s “Powderfinger”, slowed down and mellowed out. The Velvet Underground’s “Sweet Jane” gets the same treatment. “A Common Disaster” is one that I have heard on the radio. “Blue Moon Revisited(Song For Elvis)” has part of the original Rodgers and Hart song in it. I had three or four of their releases on either CD or cassette but this is all I have left. First time listening to this CD in its entirety. Comes with a booklet describing how they recorded each album from using one mic to record them all in a garage behind their house and a church in Totonto to a studio using multiple mics and overdubbing.
