Another band formed in the college town of Chapel Hill home of the University of North Carolina. Originally called Snatches Of Pink I had their Bent With Prey release on cassette. Changing their name to Clarissa in the mid 90’s this is their first release under that name. The band consists of Michael Rank, Andy McMillan and Sara Romweber who had been in Let’s Active in the 80’s. From 1996 and another one of the first CDs I bought this was played a few times back then. Probably haven’t listened to this in over 25 years but I knew every song on it. A good CD, I liked every song, it has that acoustic Indie/College Rock sound but also some Hard Rock songs. Nothing on my playlist(I don’t have the means to change a CD to an MP3 at this time) but I did put “Sail Away” on one of my 200 plus cassette mix tapes that I made back then. They put out one more CD in ’97 which I also have but won’t listen to at this time. After that they changed their name back to Snatches Of Pink. McMillan and Romweber eventually left with Rank finding new members putting out a few more releases before embarking on a solo career.
