Warren Zevon-Excitable Boy

This is a used record I bought five or six years ago. There are so many good songs on here I thought at first it was some kind of greatest hits compilation. This is actually his third album from 1978. “Johnny Strikes Up The Band”, “Werewolves Of London”, “Excitable Boy”, “Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner”, “Nighttime In The Switching Yard” and “Lawyers, Guns And Money” were all heard quite frequently on the radio in the late 70’s. “Tenderness On The Block” was also one I had heard before. He is backed up by session musicians and many west coast country rockers like Don Henley, Glen Fry, J.D. Souther and Jackson Browne. John McVie and Mick Fleetwood play on “Werewolves Of London”. Don’t remember where I bought this but it’s an original ’78 pressing and sounds pretty good.
